A Contemporary Understanding of Luxury

Luxury gives us the feeling of experiencing something special and unique.

Fortunately, outdated luxury criteria such as price and luxury brand names are gradually receding behind qualities like quality and attention to detail, emphasizing durability and longevity.

These qualities are inherently sustainable.

Sustainable luxury, as we understand it, also means, for example, being resource and environmentally friendly, leather-free and vegetarian, fair, recycled/refurbished, etc., as reflected in the content of these pages.

All of this is framed by classic, tasteful design.

Why THE GREEN LUXURY?

Through the content on THE GREEN LUXURY, we aim to show how much more sustainable an exclusive, stylish, and enjoyable lifestyle can be, and how attractive sustainability can be.

Regrettably, the "luxury communities" and the "sustainability communities" rarely overlap.

While some luxury manufacturers offer some more sustainable products, some sustainability-conscious manufacturers offer occasional products that are also interesting to luxury target groups.

In short, there is a lack of partners who are truly at home in both the world of luxury and the world of sustainability.

Where sustainability and "lifestyle" (not traditional luxury) do intersect, it is almost exclusively focused on fashion and personal care, with the target audience being predominantly female.

THE GREEN LUXURY initially focuses on the following topics: fashion, accessories, mobility, technology, food, and lifestyle.

At the beginning, we deliberately pay attention to topics and products that are typically associated with a male audience to bridge the significant green luxury gap.

Who is THE GREEN LUXURY?

THE GREEN LUXURY is implemented by the team behind eScootee, Germany's leading consultancy for micromobility and the mobility transition.

In addition to providing B2B consulting services for micromobility manufacturers and retailers, commercial vehicle fleets, and local mobility projects, the team operates eScootee.com, the most visited German-language website on the topic of "small e-mobility."

eScootee is committed to the mobility transition with the goal of creating livable cities and protecting the climate.

However, the arguments along the way are more immediate and tangible, such as cost savings, improved mobility, and fun.

Just as micromobility represents the "fun faction" of the mobility transition, sustainable luxury has the potential to make a more sustainable lifestyle more enjoyable and attractive, thereby also attracting imitators.

Mark Hoelling, the CEO of eScootee, grew up surrounded by "Goodyear welted shoes and cufflinks" but gradually transitioned, for example, to becoming a vegetarian, stopped buying leather products, and ultimately made (small) e-mobility his expertise.

Therefore, THE GREEN LUXURY is in good hands with the eScootee team.
